Seeking common
ground for liberty
and Safety

    An alarming set of statistics
The percentage of Americans that choose to serve in our military is between 10 and
11 percent of the general population. Of those that serve, and return home, statistics
that will alarm any concerned citizen are, often, unacknowledged.

A suicide rate that has been called, by some, epidemic has not kept this group from
dis-proportionate showings in both the homeless, and, the incarcerated populations.
Estimates indicate that approximately 25% of our incarcerated populations are
veterans. Additionally, according to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans,
about
23% of our homeless population are veterans. The vast majority of these
displaced veterans served 3 years, or more, and have honorable discharges from
their respective branches of service.

                                                   Collaboration is key
My late grand-mother would often say "Many hands make light work" when
encouraging cooperation in one particular effort, or, another. With more than sixteen
years personal experience in dealing with these issues I have accumulated numerous
insights, tricks, and, truths that I hope can help you as much, or more, as they've
helped me.
By working together we can influence law-makers, help insure public safety, as well
as, help to facilitate protection and recovery for one of our most precious national
resources: young people willing to volunteer for military service.
Potential cause(s) of the changes observed.
Legal considerations.
Safety signs that you (or your loved one) may need help.
Resources that exist to help.

How changes in our society and legal system effect our veterans.
